This module has been designed as a concise and exciting program, which also fully supports our studies and thinking for the design studio module and compliments the technical studies module. There is 3 stages in this module which is STUDY, RESEARCH DOCUMENT, ESSAY.

STAGE 1
I will begin my research project by undertaking a STUDY, where i explored and investigate a building and/or space of particular interest / inspiration to you within the built environment. The STUDY will be in photographic and visual recording of; spatiality, form, character and atmosphere of space, architectural details, interventions, interior elements, materials and lighting together with context/location. Hence the particular space i chosen is TESCO (supermarket) that located in VICTORIA CENTER, NOTTINGHAM, UK.
STAGE 2
Using the knowledge and feedback gained from stage 1 study, I need to explore and investigate 4 case studies, also from within the built environment, visually recording spatiality, form, character and atmosphere of space, architectural details, interventions, interior elements, materials and lighting, and undertaking research on the site, the context; society, political, history and environmental challenges.
STAGE 3
I will assess and review the STUDY and the RESEARCH DOCUMENT. From my appraisal of these stages 1&2 i will observe how or where an argument could be constructed. An argument can be ‘a discussion in which reasons are put forward in support of and against a proposition, proposal, or case; debate.
